This place was a nice surprise. We had reservations but it was crowded. They offered us a table in the bar, glad we accepted. Great views, great food, great live music, great wine, and great company. Our waitress was nice but not transparent about charges, offers to bring you more of something without informing you that there will be a charge. Added a food item to alcohol? Why? Anyways we still enjoyed ourselves.

We had such a good time at Cardero’s. Even though it was raining (Vancouver, right?! 😂), the vibe and staff were friendly and cozy. We were a four people crew from Brazil, willing to try good sea food in Vancouver. The view was amazing!
We were well served by MJ - he gave good wine suggestions, and was clear on the size and type of food we were considering to order - if warm, cold dishes, how many people it would serve, what was our preference..
We had the sea side platter with truffled fries and focaccia as side orders and it was a great option for 4 people to try different types of sea food. The beet and Buratta appetizer was also great!
Cardero’s price is fair enough for the quality of food, service and ambiance it provides.
Definitely recommending Cardero’s to my friends!

Cardero’s absolutely delivered. The food was outstanding across the board—the signature salmon and sablefish dishes were incredible, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the ribs were just off the chart. Tender, rich, and unforgettable.
What really pushed the experience over the top was the service. Huge shout-out to our server, Pete. He was amazing—attentive without hovering, genuinely friendly, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. He made the whole night feel relaxed and special.
Great food, great service, and a classic Vancouver waterfront vibe done right.
Cardero’s is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit.

Cardero's has one of the best settings in Vancouver, the mountain and inlet views are unbeatable. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between casual and upscale, perfect for a relaxed but refined evening out.
The Beet & Burrata ($22.50) was outstanding it has perfectly balanced flavors, (5 stars). The Signature Wok Squid ($19) was crisp, garlicky, and just spicy enough, (4 stars). The Crab Crusted Lingcod ($39) and Bone-In Rib Steak ($59) were both underwhelming: the fish lacked flavor, and the steak came too rare despite being ordered medium (3 stars each).
Service from Nick was excellent, friendly, attentive, and professional. The only real downside was the outdoor heaters, which were blasting the whole time and made things uncomfortably hot.
Great views, solid service, and some strong dishes, but a few misses kept it from being perfect. 4 stars.

Had lunch on their heated patio. Beautiful views and even better food! We started with the mussels, butter shrimp, and calamari, and all were excellent. The sizzling shrimp was packed with flavour, and the crispy calamari with sautéed onions was so good we had to order it twice! The coconut mussels were decent but could’ve used a bit more flavour. For mains, the signature cedar plank BC salmon and the mushroom tagliatelle were both absolutely delicious. To finish, the brownie pecan dessert with vanilla bean gelato was divine. I would’ve ordered a second one if I had any room left! Great views, great service, and food worth coming back for. Highly recommend!
