Haven't been to this Banana Leaf for several years but glad we did. The place was extreme busy but was able to get out food relatively quick. They messed up the vegan vegetables dish we requested as you can smell the intense fish sauce. The waitress Herwen was so kind and very apologetic and had it remade very fast.
Look forward to come again!!!

Lunch with my coworker from out of town, his first Malaysian food experience.
Food was good as always at Banana leaf, love their Mee Gorang, the green beans were good too.
Service was very good. Friendly staff. Even though they forgot one of our new gorang, I guess we eat lots lol
Decor is still looking new, well maintained.
200% going back to Banana leaf.

Awesome place to go for lunch and dinner. We always get the course meals so we can have a variety of food. Don’t expect that it’s for one serving each specially on the minimum of 2 person course meal. Mind you it’s actually good enough if you wait for all the food to come out. We recommend this restaurant and their other locations too. I do prefer going to the one near Kitsilano.
Food is great service is awesome. Parking is based on luck in this location though.

My 8 year old daughter chose this restaurant on a whim, after I gave a hard “no” to dominos. We were not disappointed. Although a bit pricey, I think, I don’t know anymore, everything is bonkers at restaurants now….anyhow…. My daughter doesn’t love heat but smashed 2 plates of chicken/veg curry and a good chuck of my prawns. The peppers were terrific as was everything else. We left stuffed and with leftovers to go. Would recommend. Would go back.

My friend came from Japan for a visit, and she wanted to meet me for lunch at Banana Leaf since we had had a really good memory from our previous visit.
The restaurant was filled with greenery, giving a vibe of Mother Nature enveloping you. After having a difficult time choosing just one dish from the extensive menu, I opted for the solo adventure platter to try a little bit of everything. All the components on the platter, except roti canai, were tasty. Roti canai, on the other hand, was cold and not flaky. I was surprised because Banana Leaf had never failed to put out warm, flaky roti canai before. Thankfully, my friend really liked her Hainanese chicken and mango papaya salad. The salad was super fresh and flavourful. It was so good that I would come back to Banana Leaf just to eat the salad again.
Lastly, we both really appreciated our server Live. She was so down-to-earth, and she made sure that we were enjoying our experience at Banana Leaf.
