This was my first time visiting Cardero’s and it was FANTASTIC! The place was quite busy even at 3 p.m., but the wait time wasn’t too bad. We sat on the over-the-water patio, and the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful—overlooking the water and boat docks made it such an enjoyable experience.
The servers were kind, funny, and very attentive. We ordered the Coal Harbour Burger to share, and not only was it one of the best burgers I’ve had in years, but they also went the extra mile by serving it already cut in half, each on our own plate with individual portions of fries. And let me tell you—those fries were amazing—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious.
As I’m writing this, I’m literally salivating just thinking about the meal—not even kidding.
Of course, pricing depends on what you order, but we found the burger to be reasonably priced and a generous enough portion to share.
Honestly, I can’t wait to come back and try more items from their menu!

I had the foraged mushroom tagliatelle, absolutely delicious. The homemade faccacia was delicious. Soft and fragrant. Parking was street and a parcade nearby. Service was fast and friendly. Server Camillo, he was great. It was my nieces grad dinner celebration, and he surprised her with a dessert.
We had a great time it was very busy but we didn't feel rushed at any time. Would totally recommend.

Our tour bus driver told us that Cardero’s is the best restaurant in Vancouver, so we decided to try it for our last dinner before leaving the city. Ordering food has always been a bit of a challenge for us because we can’t read Western menus very well. Fortunately, the server was very patient, helping us understand the menu and recommending delicious yet affordable dishes. In the end, we ordered the tuna, sizzling squid, and grilled salmon.
I told the server that the two of us would be sharing the salmon dish, and to our surprise, it was served as two separate plates—each beautifully presented and fully portioned. It was a pleasant and unexpected gesture, showing how much they care about the dining experience of their guests.
All three dishes were delicious, and we finally understood why this restaurant is considered number one in Vancouver: great food, stunning ocean views, and top-quality service.

I had passed by this spot a number of times but this trip I made a reso and went there with a group of friends. My jaw dropped when I entered because it definitely doesn’t show how amazing it is until you walk in. It felt like we were right on the water with the table at the very far corner of the restaurant.
They’re godly with seafood. Oysters were amazing, the sizzling shrimp, halibut, squid, and the list goes on and on - all top notch.
Staff are smiles throughout. They really make you feel at home and welcome. Thanks for a lovely evening.

It was a random find while walking near the waterfront, but truly amazed with the food and the views. To be very honest, also loved the hospitality. The only complaint is the is the turnaround time. I wish the service was quicker. It’s possibly because it’s extremely popular and crowded.
We ordered the avocado Albacore tuna salad, tomato, clam chowder, and the broccolini. In terms of recommendation, I would rank the salad first followed by broccolini. Not a big fan of the tomato clam chowder.
For main, we ordered the grilled BC salmon and the grilled halibut. The salmon was done really well, and they took care of the medium rare cooking that we wanted. I loved how fresh the halibut tasted, only cons was the amount of lemon butter sauce in the dish. Given the fish was rather on the dry side, would have preferred more sauce. I was provided more butter when I asked for it, but it lacked the lemon punch in it.
