We made a reservation for 11:45am and were given a choice of seating upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. We secured a window seat with a beautiful view of Coal Harbour, setting the tone for a great lunch.
As we were being walked to our table, we were asked if we were celebrating anything. We mentioned it was my partner’s birthday lunch with his family, and to our surprise, they brought out a complimentary dessert at the end with spoons for everyone to share — such a thoughtful and genuinely kind gesture.
I ordered the salmon burger on a gluten-free bun, and it was absolutely delicious — flavourful, fresh, and very well executed. We also ordered oysters (they only had one variety available). They were very good, though a bit on the pricey side at $4.50 per oyster.
Our server, Lotus, was fantastic — attentive, warm, and made the whole experience feel effortless.
Overall, a wonderful spot for a special occasion or a relaxed meal with a view. We’ll definitely be back to Cardero’s.

Great food and great service is the simplest way to put it. Non alcohol were great, very refreshing and not overly sweet. Definitely a plus for a non drinker. All the dishes were cooked to perfection with great flavours. Fresh seafood is always plus coming from a guy that lives in Alberta. Also, loved the brussel sprouts a very nice crunchy flavourful dish and meatballs were excellent. Great experience from warm friendly greeting on entry to final bill. Table had amazing view and place was busy and still easy for a business meeting.

First time here, and we loved it. Mel was our server and she was nice and just the right level of attentive.
We got the sizzling shrimp, roasted baby potatoes, and Sablefish. It was a great combination because we used the sauce from the sizzling shrimp to dip the potatoes as well as the bread which came with the shrimp.
The Sablefish was SOOOO tender and delicious, cooked perfectly!
There was a guy playing guitar at the bar, and we couldn't hear him at first but then a few rambunctious tables left and it was perfect.
I'd have shown pictures from the marina, but it was a dark and foggy night. I'm sure it's lovely when neither of those obscures our vision!

Lovely atmosphere & restaurant interior by the waterfront, but really busy restaurant & staff. I went in with high expectations and was not blown away.
I got the salmon pasta. The salmon was prepared well-done, but I prefer it medium-rare. The fish seemed like a solid catch and wish it were cooked less to do it justice. No complaints with the pasta though - it was fresh and well seasoned.
Compared to NY standards, this may be a trendy spot for the location but I wouldn’t go out of my way for the food or service (from what I tried at least!)

We always wanted to go to this place, and were not disappointed! Decoration is lovely and ambience and lights make it a really cozy experience. The dishes were wonderful, although some appetizers were a bit pricey. Only complaint was for our server; not once did they serve us our wine and we had to wait some 15 minutes for the check to arrive after we have asked.
