The workers here were extremely attentive and kind. It wasn’t that busy but the wait times were a bit long but that’s alright. The space was inviting and clean. They refilled me and my friend’s drink so quickly we thought there was a camera watching, but that just speaks volumes about the immaculate service and care they put. They gave complimentary chips and salsa during happy hour and it was very nice. The guy in the dusty pink suit with black hair was very impressive with his attention to detail and his welcoming attitude. Thank you for the wonderful experience. 🌝💗

The blackened chicken was delicious and is one of my go to options at Earls. Xavier was also a wonderful server and did a great job of serving the table and ensuring we had recommendations and great service overall.
That Lemon Meringue dessert was delicious as well and should definitely become a permanent item on the menu

Get the dumplings while you can! The tuna poke and fish tacos were also delicious.
Ruben and another bar tender served us at the bar. They were incredibly nice and gifted us a sample of their sticky toffee pudding - YUM!

Earl’s Kitchen + Bar is hands down one of my favorite spots to eat, whether it’s for a casual lunch, a business dinner, or a night out with friends. The vibe is modern, warm, and welcoming, with just the right mix of energy and comfort. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about your experience.
The food? Always on point. Their menu has something for everyone—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the Cajun Chicken and the Truffle Fries—absolute perfection. Their sushi rolls are surprisingly good too, and the rotating seasonal features keep things exciting. Cocktails are top notch, and the wine list has great variety.
What really sets Earl’s apart, though, is the consistency. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always a great experience. Whether the place is packed or it’s a quieter afternoon, the service never slips and the food is always delicious.
Shoutout to the bartenders as well—super knowledgeable and always willing to recommend something new.
If you’re looking for a place that delivers great food, great drinks, and great vibes every single time, Earl’s Kitchen + Bar is it. Five stars, no question.

During my recent visit to Vancouver, I stopped by the Hornby Street location of Earls Kitchen + Bar—and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. As a vegetarian/vegan diner, I often brace myself for limited options or awkward substitutions. Not here. From the moment I walked in—without a reservation—I was greeted warmly by Joan, who not only made me feel welcome but also took the time to listen to my dietary needs and help me plan a satisfying meal. She even found me a great seat.
The culinary highlight of my visit was their Santa Fe salad, customized to my preferences by replacing the chicken with Cajun tofu. And let me tell you—this wasn’t just a salad, it was a culinary experience. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, the sweet vinaigrette was perfectly balanced, and the blackened tofu was flavorful, spicy, and absolutely addictive. The kitchen didn’t just accommodate my request—they elevated it. Their chefs are artists. I also ordered a side of broccolini, which they kindly seasoned with Cajun spice just for me. It was vibrant, slightly smoky, and utterly delicious.
Service was another highlight. My server, Sophia, was attentive, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making sure my meal was perfect. She checked in at just the right moments and made me feel truly cared for—one of the best service experiences I’ve encountered.
The atmosphere was modern and relaxed, perfect for both solo diners and groups. It’s the kind of place that feels upscale without being pretentious. Final verdict: Earls Hornby is the real deal—thoughtful food, exceptional staff, and an inviting vibe. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just seeking great food and stellar service, I highly recommend stopping by. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m in town.
