I had an incredible experience at Miku. After hearing so much about it, I finally went — and it exceeded every expectation. The sushi was absolutely exceptional. These are some of the finest cuts of fish you’ll find in Vancouver — incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. This isn’t just your regular sushi spot; it’s a full dining experience. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and elevated. The bartender and overall service were truly top notch. Attentive, knowledgeable, and professional without being overbearing. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a stunning location and a polished, upscale atmosphere. Even the bathroom facilities are clean and modern — everything reflects quality and attention to detail. In my opinion, this is the perfect place to take a date or celebrate something special. Amazing food, incredible service, and a gorgeous setting. Highly recommended — I love this place and will absolutely be back.

We started with the green tea, which was perfect, especially with the cold dishes. It warmed us up and tasted really good. Overall, it was a great experience. The octopus was the highlight, absolutely delicious. The calamari was very crunchy, just the way it should be, and the sushi was fresh and tasty. A really enjoyable meal from start to finish.

We came in with high expectations given all the praise—and while some dishes truly shined, the experience landed as a mixed (but still enjoyable) one for us. The atmosphere was a major highlight: spacious, modern, and elegant. We arrived right as the lights were dimmed and candles were placed on every table, instantly making the room feel warm and inviting. Coat check was a nice touch and added to the sense of polish. Standout dishes: • Hokkaido seared scallops – absolutely excellent. Pork belly on top, sitting in a rich, flavorful sauce. This dish alone is reason to return. • Bluefin trio nigiri – beautifully presented, with each piece featuring a different topping. Everyone at the table had a different favorite, which made it genuinely fun to compare and talk through the flavors. What fell short for us: • Surf & turf roll felt like it was missing something—either a steak sauce or a salty drizzle to bring it together • Miku roll could have benefited from a brighter, fresher note (yuzu or mango came to mind) That said, I appreciated the intention behind the rolls being pre-seasoned so soy sauce isn’t needed—a thoughtful concept that shows restraint and confidence. Other notes: • Kids soba noodles were surprisingly amazing, especially the broth • Mocktails were excellent; the Emporial Soda was our favorite • Bathrooms had a beautiful wooden aesthetic that matched the overall design Would we return? Not necessarily by our own choice—but absolutely if invited, or just for those scallops again. It’s definitely pricey, but the attention to detail, service, ambiance, and standout dishes made it a worthwhile experience overall.

First time here — a lot of people recommended it. Overall it was okay. I had a reservation but still waited about 10 minutes for a table. If you sit by the window, the view is great. The server was friendly and gave some helpful menu tips. We ordered the Ebi Fritters, Miku Roll, Salmon Oshi Sushi, and the Oshi Sampler. The salmon one was the best. We also waited 20+ minutes for our food. Overall the food was good, but not the best I’ve had. Feels a bit overrated.

This restaurant has really great views of the water, harbour area as it looks out into North Vancouver. Is best to try and have a reservation, but you can walk in and find space if you’re willing to wait just a short time. The service feels extremely welcoming as the chefs greet you as soon as you start walking through the restaurant, and if you’re lucky to be seated near the window, you’ll experience extra extraordinary views. The food that we’ve tried here has always been exceptional high-quality and delicious. Definitely worthwhile to stop by and enjoy this iconic restaurant. There is plenty of parking close by on the street or there are paid parking options as well. If you’re staying in North Van, you can just take a quick ferry ride over and be very close to where the restaurant is located. Skytrain is also right there for easy access to this restaurant.
